Steven J. Kaplan, M.D.
Dr. Kaplan is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and graduated with honors from the University of Buffalo, SUNY School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1978. He completed his surgical residency at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York and an Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
Along with Dr. Kaplan's well rounded orthopedic training, he has over 35 years of experience and specializes in hip, knee and shoulder replacement.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, State Medical Society of Wisconsin, Milwaukee County Medical Society and Wisconsin Orthopaedic Society. He has served as past Chief of the Medical Staff, Secretary of the Medical Staff and Section Head of Orthopedic Surgery. Prior to joining Lewis County Orthopedics, Dr. Kaplan was affiliated with Aurora Health Care Orthopaedics in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
James Mason, D.O.
Dr. Mason is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery and received his Doctor of Medicine from New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, Biddeford, ME. He completed his orthopedic residency at Doctors Hospital (Orthopedic Surgery), Columbus, OH, and his surgical internship at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center, Dayton, OH.
Dr. Mason has over 37 years of experience and specialized training in pediatric orthopedics, total joint arthroplasty, orthopedic oncology, and sports medicine.
Shane K. Woolf, M.D.
Shane K. Woolf, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Woolf completed his undergraduate degree at Princeton University and earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Hersey, PA. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery, including two years as a research fellow, at the Medical University of South Carolina. Then, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Taos Orthopaedic Institute in Taos, New Mexico.
Dr. Woolf is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and American Orthopaedic Association. He currently serves as the Chief of Sports Medicine and Director for the Arthroscopy Bioskills Lab for the Department of Orthopaedics, Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Woolf has over 20 years of orthopedic experience and specializes in general orthopedics and sports medicine injuries to athletes of all levels and ages, with interests in shoulder, knee, and hip problems.
Evan Leibelsperger, RPA-C
Physician Assistant Evan Leibelsperger is a Board Certified graduate from approved NCCPA program, a Board Certified Athletic Trainer, BCLS certified, and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg, PA in 2007 and his Master Degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2010 from DeSales University, Center Valley, PA.
He evaluates orthopedic conditions, treats musculoskeletal injuries and deformities, is skillful in suturing, wound care, splint/casting, injections, office procedures, imaging interpretations, fracture and dislocation reductions, and has surgical experience in lower /upper extremity surgical cases.
